The SECAM04 camshaft position (CMP) sensor is designed for Ford® Power Stroke and Navistar® diesel engine applications requiring reliable engine timing and synchronization signal performance.
The CMP sensor monitors camshaft position and sends timing information to the engine control module, helping support injector synchronization, starting performance, throttle response, and engine operation. A failing CMP sensor can cause hard starts, intermittent stalling, no-start conditions, RPM signal loss, injector synchronization issues, or timing-related trouble codes.
